MASSAGE THERAPY SERVICES OFFERED

Tessa works deeply with the Myofascial System during customized treatments based on your specific needs. Tessa believes that massage is a very personal approach to wellness based on your body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is a powerful journey into the self, and Tessa is committed to helping each patient heal the mind, body and spirit through the application of therapeutic massage techniques and a gentle approach to self-care. She has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC since 2010 & is passionate about sharing the efficacy of Therapeutic Massage with you!

Deep Tissue / Myofascial Release:

A very effective approach to relieving pain in the musculoskeletal system. Long, broad strokes are combined with gentle sustained pressures and localized, friction style massage techniques to eliminate pain & restore motion in the body. Deep tissue massage helps to: identify & mobilize adhesions that can develop between muscles & connective tissues, improves blood flow through the muscle itself, realigns joints & relieves tension overall.

Therapeutic Massage can bring up many different sensations over the course of an entire treatment, but Massage is not meant to be unbearable to receive.

At no point should you expect your therapist to hurt you in order for your treatment to be expected.

Tessa intends to help to evolve beyond the "No Pain, No Gain" paradigm & help her patients learn to really listen & tune into their bodies through mindful, nurturing soft tissue care.

    Your session may include some or all the following depending on the assessment made by your practitioner:

    • A comprehensive review of past and present healthcare needs focusing on reproductive and digestive health
    • Upper and lower abdominal treatment to:
    • * Align reproductive and abdominal organs to optimal position

      * Improve circulation to organs

      * Promote vital circulation flow to support the body’s inherent healing ability

    • Evaluation of and application of bodywork to improve alignment of spine, hips, and sacrum
    • Instruction in self-care massage
    • * Based on years of experience practitioners find that the “home self-care“ techniques are the key to support the benefit of practitioner sessions.

      This is an important component to ensure you are receiving optimal benefits from the techniques.
